OK, this is one the last blog from my backlog with a games-related theme ;-)Not gonna lie, at the end of Assassin's Creed Valhalla I was in a "WTF?!?!" mood. I wasn't really sure I wanted to know more about Basim and his ways, but...now that there's a trailer out and we get to see Basim's origin story (and hopefully some kind of redemption arc in the modern day...) I can't wait for this game

Another one from my blog backlog.  This one is the trailer for the next Prince of Persia game, subtitled "The Lost Crown". It's been a while since I've played a Prince of Persia game, and this looks interesting. I don't often play platformers, but this looks interesting. I am not a huge fan of mobile games. Every so often some things like Pokemon GO, or Assassin's Creed Pirates will catch my attention, but trying to emulate controllers on a slab of glass just doesn't do it for me.  I was going to pass on The Division Resurgence, but I am coming off a high brought on by Division 1, and it's likely I'll be starting to play The Division 2 soon...so...I guess I might

Generally speaking, the Fable games were fine.  I enjoyed playing them, but I don't run out and play every Fable game (like I do for assassin's creed...). I played Fable II, Fable III, and Fable Anniversary.  I skipped Fable Journey because I didn't have a Kinect. I was going to skip this one, but I recognized Richard Ayode's voice, so...I guess I'll be playing this one eventually ;-)

 This past spring I got an Oculus 2 to play more with VR.  The technology isn't new to me, I've had my first VR experiences in high school in the late 90s with those clunky enclosures that we used to have (and probably still do?). I don't often get excited about Star Trek computer games. The last one I enjoyed was "A Final Unity" back in the MacOS 8 days. The JJ-Trek game that came out around 2009 seemed like a shooter dressed up in a Star Trek skin.  Resurgence seems different! A bit pumped for it.

Defiance, the MMO that was tied in with the SyFy show with the same name, has been gone for a while now, its servers shut down before COVID hit (from what I remember). That doesn't prevent some intrepid fans from brining the game back as a solo, offline, game.  I think there's probably a lot more work to do, but this looks mighty promising!  I would love to play this game again, even without

Another fun Copland discovery.  I've always wanted to run Copland in an emulator, even since I found a copy on a Caraccho server back in the early 2000s, but according to the details, you always needed a debug machine to have your Copland machine tethered to because it was so unstable. It's interesting to live vicariously through others who played with this ;-)
