Despite being in the middle of a pandemic, Reddit posts from people who want to visit still are plentiful, and there are queues to get into restaurants and attractions.  This morning I got a lot of notifications from the official Salem app that attractions are fully booked for today as of 10am this morning.It makes me wonder what is wrong with people sometimes...

Star Trek: The Stardate Collection Volume 1 by Scott Tipton My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was fun to read. Well, the one thing about this COVID-19 crisis hitting in the summer is that we have a lot of television to catch up on. Seems like Scratch Kitchen is the latest casualty of the COVID-19 closures.  Cinema Salem (our community movie theater) was first, then Beerworks (although I am hoping they'll relocate), and now Scratch Kitchen. Scratch was set apart by having local produce, and organic (oh yeah, and lots of bacon).  The thing that stunk was that their hours were not always predictable...
