I guess this is the last food-themed post for April Fool's that stood out.  IKEA seemed to go above and beyond this year, with the Chupa-Chups collab to bring Swedish meatballs to a lollipop factor, and a Bed Bath & Beyond collab (from what I can tell) to bring the iconic Swedish meatball to your  bubble bath.  I think I laughed more at the bubble bath than the lollipop, but both

Continuing with the April Fool's Food theme, two other brands that got into it were Omaha Steaks and Califia.  Omaha Steaks created a Pocket Steak product, which is mildly amusing, although not that ingenious (isn't this just jerky?).  Califia went with a funnier (IMO) "spicy vodka" coffee creamer...for when you need your coffee to have that extra bit of kick ;-)

Australians sure do love their Vegemite.  To be fair, I also like Vegemite ;-), Marmite is fine, but Vegemite is what I prefer.  Anyway - for April Fools' a variety of different Vegemite-themed collaborations were "unveiled," including Vegemite ice cream, tortilla chips, and...Vegemite by the bucketfull.

I have never heard of this brand before, but it looks like an Australian restaurant chain (wow, the Aussies really love April Fool's.).  Anyway,  Grill'd is offering burger-inspired massage service, complete with a limited-edition range of massage oils inspired by their iconic sauce flavors 💆‍♀️.  I wonder what a 99 or Texas Roadhouse version of this might be ;-)  Direct

Now, for something a bit different.  Beer!  In 2022 I started drinking beer again.  In 2021 I decided to stop drinking beer for a year (with a few exceptions, like if I went out with family and had a drink with a meal - something unlikely due to COVID). It's interesting to compare stats from 2020 ('regular beer drinking') to post-beer-pause.  While my own drinking habits rebounded,

Seems like Scratch Kitchen is the latest casualty of the COVID-19 closures.  Cinema Salem (our community movie theater) was first, then Beerworks (although I am hoping they'll relocate), and now Scratch Kitchen. Scratch was set apart by having local produce, and organic (oh yeah, and lots of bacon).  The thing that stunk was that their hours were not always predictable...

Burger Kind punks everyone who thought their Whoppers were made of real beef.  Sadly, I think one of these days we will find out that fast food was not beef all along (and not, it won't be veggie burgers :p)

As April Fool's jokes go, this is so bad that it's good.  I like the building of burger through sweet materials but I can't imagine eating this. Here is the materials video:

Alright... I know that there are some odd things in Japan (at least for us Westerners) but this Star Trek themed (long) ad looks more like parody than anything else (also makes me want to try this burger...)
