When I logged into Star Trek Online I heard a bunch or BLIM, BLORP, SWOOOOSH sounds.  I thought Q was at it again.  Well, it turns out that it was just the new artisanal sonification system :p (Happy April Fools)

I don't think I've listed to Italian charts for a while...so here we go - this week this is #1 in Italy Despacito by Luis Fonsi ft. Daddy Yankee Verdict: Nice beat.  I could do without the Autotune though ;-)

STO is down for maintenance.  Last night the First Contact event was hard to get into, which I assume is one of the things being looked at.  I loved this patch note today:  Resolved an issue where the Heavy Escort Railgun was healing enemies instead of damaging them.  Healing your enemies would make for some really long battles - but this gives me a good idea for a console:

I saw, on the the STO blog, that First Contact day is almost upon us! For the event, STO will be doing the following: Captains who participate will search the area for useful parts, just like Cochrane scavenged the pieces for the Phoenix. Using these parts in conjunction with a basic hull assembly, captains will make their own model of the Phoenix by combining engines, hull, and stabilizer
