Next up on my binge of Far Cry games, Far Cry 4, which I completed December 2020 (took long enough to write this, eh?😜)Continuing on with the tradition of "WTF?!?!", Far Cry sets you on a journey to the fictional nation of Kyrat. Kyrat is located in the Himalayas, and it seems to border Bihar, India since it is stated at the beginning of the game that the nearest embassy being in Patna.

 Right after I finished Fac Cry 3, I kicked off the spin off game, Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, which I finished October 2020The game is rather short, but it is a ton of fun. The game basically takes the basic structure of Far Cry 3, albeit in a smaller sandbox, and transports you to the "future" by playing a Kyle Reese type of character in a very 80s, terminator-style setting.  The language

With Gamepass expired in August 2020, I returned back to games I actually owned so that I can finish them.  The realization that I got was that even though Gamepass was fine, and a steal with the $1 update lifehack if you had Gold, it never really incentivized you to play what you owned because what was on gamepass came and went.  Anyway.  I finished September 29, 2020, and I played

Digging into the "Finished some time ago" pile, this game was completed on 7/25/2020. This was a gamepass game that I wanted to try to finish before my gamepass expired.Coming into this game I knew of the Blair Witch Project. I remember the trailers and all the hubbub in the late 90s, but I have never seen the actual films.  The shaky cam in the previews didn't appeal to me.So why play this game?

 So here's a recent game I completed! (woohoo!) I finished this one in November 2021 (last week actually), and I thought I'd write up some quick thoughts about it.I have about a dozen games (mostly trilogies, or parts of trilogies) still on disc from the xbox 360 days - so I thought I'd work through my backlog of games on disc, so I can move most xbox 360 stuff into storage.  Batman Arkham

I guess it's official! I get to be at convocation next year!  Even though I was technically done with my degree in September of 2021, I'll be one of the graduates at next year's convocation, which will again be virtual.  I think that it's definitely a good call to be virtual given the uncertainties of COVID that still exist. To be honest, it's also a big of a weight off my shoulders. 

 Well, that came out of the blue, and it was a rather nice surprise! The xbox is 20 years old, and as part of the celebration, Microsoft announced 76 titles being added to backward compatibility!  The Max Payne trilogy is finally backward compatible, as are some other games that I own, like Mortal Kombat and Operation Racoon City!   Maybe it's time to look for some used games on
