Star Trek: Gold Key Archives Volume 3 by Len Wein My rating: 2 of 5 stars Definitely another product of its time. I did enjoy the camp-factor a bit, but it was definitely a skim-read to get a sense of the story instead of a deeper read, taking in more details like the drawings and inking. There is something interesting in reading this now, as a retro-futurist type of comic. Kirk

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood by Oliver Bowden My rating: 4 of 5 stars It's been such a long time since I played brotherhood that most of the story was "new" to me - which was actually pretty fun. I still got flashbacks to some of the game mechanics in the game itself while listening to this novel. I still think it's a missed opportunity to explore more of the modern day assassins

Star Trek: Gold Key Archives Volume 2 by Len Wein My rating: 2 of 5 stars OK, this is a product of its time. It's more like Flash Gordon with a Star Trek gloss. Some of the odd things in this volume: space voodoo. Space hippies (to be fair, this was also true in TOS), punchcards and tapes and computer storage, a "brain drain" device (along with Spock's Brain, before Spock's Brain!).
