Just by luck yesterday YouTube suggested the Ubisoft livestream from E3 (oh internet overlords, you know me so well!), and I tuned in just as the trailer for Assassin's Creed Odyssey came on screen.  I love the trailer, I love that I am able to pick a character, I love that it's going to be set in Greece during the  peloponnesian war, I think I like the Bioware RPGness of the game. Seems like some big announcements were made today and yesterday at this year's E3.  I hadn't even seen anything regarding this game in the game press (not that I was paying particular attention) but this game looks likeit could be a lot of fun, wrapped up in an interesting story.

Star Trek: Captain's Log by David Tipton My rating: 5 of 5 stars I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy reading stories about secondary captains (Jelico, Sulu, Hariman), i.e. those not seen on screen for very long - but these were actually quite good short stories. Designing and Conducting Mixed Methods Research by John W. Creswell My rating: 5 of 5 stars A good primer on mixed methods research. I wish I had made this part of my original reading list last summer when I was conceiving of my (current version for my) dissertation proposal plan.  Mixed methods fits well with one of the reasons  I am using case study research as my approach.
