I came across this comic strip a week or so ago (but of course I forgot to post). It reminded me of my own (sometimes misplaced) nostalgia for older games.  They were marvelous for their time, but really hard to go back to these days (unless you are very persistent).

Networked Communities: Strategies for Digital Collaboration by Sylvie Albert My rating: 2 of 5 stars It was an OK book. Definitely focuses more on the organizational and managerial aspects of networked communities (which aren't of much use to me at the moment).  There were some interesting nuggets of information buried throughout the book if you looked carefully enough. 

Group Cognition: Computer Support for Building Collaborative Knowledge by Gerry Stahl My rating: 3 of 5 stars Enlightening but I thought it was a bit imbalanced. The theoretical pieces of the book were very interesting (and dense). I tried getting through these chapters in a manner of days and I don't think I got everything (or at least things seem a little fuzzy at the moment). 

This past weekend in Star Trek Online the Azure Nebula  queue was the featured queue for group missions, which meant this was a good opportunity to earn an accolade that I haven't been able to get since I started going on the accolade hunt (mostly because people weren't queuing up for the Azure Nebula mission) In this mission... It's hard to believe that it's been 30 years since Street Fighter was originally released... I am also surprised that there is no Xbox One release for the game.  I guess I will be playing it on Steam...(at some point in the way way way future)

Star Trek: Gold Key Archives Volume 1 by Arnold Drake My rating: 2 of 5 stars As a piece of cultural history this was OK.
