Seems like some big announcements were made today and yesterday at this year's E3.  I hadn't even seen anything regarding this game in the game press (not that I was paying particular attention) but this game looks likeit could be a lot of fun, wrapped up in an interesting story.

Star Trek: Captain's Log by David Tipton My rating: 5 of 5 stars I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy reading stories about secondary captains (Jelico, Sulu, Hariman), i.e. those not seen on screen for very long - but these were actually quite good short stories. Designing and Conducting Mixed Methods Research by John W. Creswell My rating: 5 of 5 stars A good primer on mixed methods research. I wish I had made this part of my original reading list last summer when I was conceiving of my (current version for my) dissertation proposal plan.  Mixed methods fits well with one of the reasons  I am using case study research as my approach. 

Well, the fourth expansion of Star Trek Online, which brings us a sliver of the Gamma quadrant, gamma recruits, and the Jem'Hadar playable faction is here today! Star Trek Romulans The Hollow Crown - 2008 by John Byrne My rating: 4 of 5 stars An interesting continuation of the story that started in Romulan Schism where you see the Klingon's plot of circumventing the Organian Peace Treaty.
