I remember the movie coming out, and the song, but I don't think I had ever seen the video (no cable or MTV when I was in high school).

Well... I guess this particular one is confirmed (at least on Trek.fm's Babel Conference page) as being defunct.  The video production was cancelled (for whatever reason), and I guess it's not going back to its "roots" as an audio drama?  Let's see if it flies.  Disappointing :-/

I don't know if this technically counts as a song...but it's got a beat, and it's got words...so I guess it might be one? We've now moved on to the Movie-Era TOS comic strips.  This on comes from the Motion Picture, which is parodied as "the slow motion picture".  Commentary on this is interesting.  I remember watching the motion picture and I found it odd that they needed to mention the oath of celibacy - It is the future, and starfleet is a military organization (in some part) - why bother? :-/ (original

This past week I was looking up musicians from well known bands who had earned some sort of doctorate. I came across Dexter Holland from the Offspring...which immediately reminded me of this song (it's buried somewhere in my iTunes library). Brings back memories ;-)

Need to wait for November 7th for more details, but this looks cool!  I guess people were saved from the galaxy-reseting events of the original Mass Effect trilogy by going to another galaxy...

This week I (virtually) swung over to Italy to see what is new in their charts.  Benji & Fede's new album 0+ is out, and this song seems to be popular there.  Let's hear Italy Amore Wi-Fi by Benji & Fede Verdict: Catchy song.  It's slow enough to keep in the background while working, and from a language learning perspective quite easy to understand.
