I know that now that Apple is going Intel (Powerbook, iMac and Mac mini lines have been converted, iBook conversion is supposedly imminent, and xServe and PowerMac to follow) that classic has been laid to rest. Of course there are other options, such as Basilisk, which would allow you to use System 1.0 to MacOS 8 operating systems (I am not sure if PearPC will ever be ported to OS X) for people that like to take a stroll down memory lane, and perhaps use applications that have not been ported over to OS X/Intel.

I was doing some thinking the other day, and I was wondering - Who in the world STILL uses classic? I remember being a heavy user back in the days of MacOS X 10.2 (when I first converted over to OS X) because I had a bunch of apps that I was not willing to part with. Those days have gone by though, and I think that the last time I used classic was about two (or two and a half) years ago when I bought my new Powerbook - and that was JUST to test it out to make sure that it works in case I needed it.

I am very curious to find out if there are people out there still using Classic in OS X.
