I've been messing around with blogpress for a couple of days now. I broke down and paid the $3 that the app costs in the AppStore (cash isn't quite flowing these days, blame the economy)

Anyway, blogpress is actually quite nice in that it allows you to upload you own photos, use the iPhone's emoji , post to multiple blogs with one post and control tags and categories for your post. Oh, what I also love is that you can schedule post for future publication and you van work offline too!

There are a few things that I do not like however... Or rather they don't cover my needs. One thing that blogpress lacks is formatting. I cannot bold, italicizes or use HTML code. I also can't use images from other websites ( which is incoceivable now that we've got copy ad paste on the iPhone and we can copy an image URL! ). The other thing that I often use are videos from YouTube which i can't embed in my posts because I can't acces the YouTube page on the iPod to copy the embed code and blogpress does not support HTML.

I hope that with the release of operating system version 3.0 there will be a free update to blogpress that deals with the isues of HTML, formatting and images from other sites.

All things considered, the app is worth the $3 and it does a pretty good job with blogging. At the very least you can get your thoughts on paper (so to speak) and you can edit things later in the browser editor on your desktop.

Addendum: it appera that HTML code does work if you hand code it, like I ds with the bold tag. Of course doing HTML on the iPhone keyboard is a pain in the butt! Definitely a GUI formattig tool is the way to go
