It seems like the DC television show universe is slowly being killed off at the CW. Most of the Arrowverse shows are cancelled, with the last one standing - the Flash - wrapping up in 2023 I think.  I was thinking that these shows could live on HBO Max, but even HBO Max is being gutted (or so it seems).  Anyway.  This three-season television show was kind of fun.  It follows a bunch of high school kids who have discovered the various tools, trinkets, and gadgets of the JSA (Justice Society of America) and throughout three seasons they discover how to be superheroes themselves.  The JSA had been killed off by the ISA (Injustice Society of America) a decade or so before this series starts.  The step-father of the main character was a sidekick of one of the JSA heroes (Starman).  

Throughout the series you get the internal struggles that the kids have (both the "good" kids and the "bad" kids) to discover who they are, how it fits in with their superhero persona, what does it mean to be a good or bad guy, dealing with the legacy of your family or of your own actions (you know, the bad guys turning good, and the kids of bad guys who struggle with whether to be 'good' or 'bad').

It would have been nice to have had a fourth season - after all it seems like the plan was to follow this group of kids throughout high school, but the season finale wasn't bad. The story did come full circle, even though the epilogue felt a little rushed, and I think it left a few threads open for sequels or companion series if the stars aligned.  Overall, not a bad series (and better than some of the Arrowverse series that went on a bit past their prime)
