It's been a couple of weeks since I completed the single player missions on Splinter Cell: Conviction (I guess I have to find someone to do co-op missions with now, lol).   My overall impression of the game is fairly positive.  I really liked the game play, it was reminiscent of previous Splinter Cell games, but it did manage to push the envelope a tad bit further (in a good way).  The story line was pretty good, although in many points in the game the story reminded me of 24 and Sam Fisher just reminded me of Jack Bauer.  This would be the only critique that I have of the game.

The story was nicely told though, and it did have a happy ending.  As someone who missed Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory I didn't really get the whole "my kid's dead" drama - but I am happy for this fictitious character that his family's OK. The storytellers are Ubisoft really did drag it out. Was Sarah (the daughter) alive? Or was it a ploy? Was she a live, or were they straining Sam along?

Now I didn't manage to rack up a lot of achievements - I guess I'll have to go back and play some more. It was enjoyable enough to go back for a second pass. I also didn't play Deniable Ops that much, but again, what I did play was quite enjoyable.  The story, this time around, didn't leave it at a cliffhanger, which Splinter Cell: Double Agent did; this made the ending much more satisfying. It did leave an opening for future Splinter Cell games, ones which I would gladly play :-)  Now if only Splinter Cell Classics were available on the xbox, I'd love to go back and play the series in its totality.

Now off to continue playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.
