I rather liked the series because it paints a picture that is a bit more complicated than the typical Jedi = Good, Anger/Sith = Bad. In fact, in this series we see a number of Jedi think that they know better and try to abduct some force sensitive kids from Witches that are raising them.  One of the kids wanted to go with the Jedi and become a Jedi herself, while the other wanted to stay and be inducted into the coven. Well, instead of letting each kid decide their path, the Jedi felt that it was better for the kids to go with them, even though only one of them seems to have survived the fire that kills the coven (yeah, that escalated quickly).  The Jedi were jerks, and they covered this up.  In the end, once all (or most) members of this cover up were dead we have the Mea Culpa admission at a council meeting.

The main story was resolved, so as a series this could be "final," but considering that both sisters survive, and one is off to join the dark side, it seems like there are a ton more stories to tell in this universe.  Too bad it was cancelled...
