[Spoilers] Recently I found the series of four digital  comics which wrap up the television series Revolution which I has been watching on Netflix (see related post from a week or so ago).  The second season ended in a bit of a cliffhanger, so the story was just dangling out there.  The linked video on youtube is a commentary by the writers on the first comic book.

So, what happens in the comic book?  Well, Texas goes after the Patriots after they discover their duplicity, and they win (we are just told this happened, so not that exciting), and our heroes are off to the badlands (wasteland?) to find the town with the mysterious (and creepy) clown neon sign.  They find it, and guess who's there! It's none other than Tom Neville who's now part of the matrix...eh...well...part of the nanite collective anyway which seems to act a lot like the matrix.  The nanites provide electricity and protection, and no pain, in exchange for...obedience - I guess. 

The main heroes are headed there in order to upload a virus into nanite central - which kind of fails due to predictable human errors.  However, Rachel - in order to save her family - joins the nanite collective...but SURPRISE!  He has memorized the code to deactivate/destroy the nanites and she takes then down from within.  Everyone who was infected, including her die along with the nanites. They went to sleep and didn't come back.  So the band is broken up.   Monroe heads south, never to be heard of again, and Charlie and Miles head back to the agrarian town where it all began.  The story in the comics is told by Charlie, to her younger brother long after Miles has died (of old age?) so that the kid does not forget.  See, the electricity never came back - after all that work.

I think the story had lots of promise, but in the end it failed to produce because it's so abbreviated.  I think that this could have easily been a season that was more fleshed out and you could actually see things happening, instead of being told about it.
