Funny story from last night. At around 10:30ish, when we were settling to go to bed (yeah, we're not night owls) the building fire alarm goes off. Kinda annoying, but we evacuated the building, onto the street, under a warm summer-ish sky. We checked the basements and such to see if there were a fire that we needed to be aware of (our alarm has gone off before, without fire or smoke).

Anyway, we're waiting on the sidewalk for a considerably long time (considering that the fire house is quite literally down the street AND we're wired into the fire department). I get on my iphone and I google the fire department. I make sure the address is correct, and dial the number straight from the google results. The guy on the other end of the line was quite helpful but he was perplexed....how did I get this number? It was unlisted! He asked me and I said that I googled it.

I don't know how the fire department would have an unlisted number, but in any case google found it. Pretty cool!
